Gayle Gilman, Birth & Postpartum Doula
Hi, I'm Gayle Gilman. I am a birth and postpartum doula based on the Westside of Los Angeles. I trained with amazing DONA teachers and I love working with women at all points of their perinatal journey. My work is to make sure you feel heard and supported.
As a Birth Doula, I am an educator, advocate and labor support person.
I am passionate about helping women have positive birth experiences. Whether it’s a scheduled c-section or a natural home birth, I want you to feel heard and supported. Ultimately, my goal is to empower you to feel confident about the choices and decisions you make.
As a postpartum doula, I meet mothers where they are: lactation support, physical and emotional healing, general infant care, ensuring everyone sleeps, and helping families organize food, schedules and sibling support.
On a personal note, I have four children of my own, including a set of twins. My oldest son was born in the U.K., and I learned an enormous amount by having a child within the National Health Service and working with the midwives there. I also bring my longtime practice of yoga and meditation to my work as a doula. For someone who wasn't sure about having children, I understand both how daunting parenthood feels and how transformational it can be.
