Harriet Fraser, Birth Doula
I’m Harriet Fraser, a trained birth doula and pregnancy coach based on the Westside of Los Angeles. My practice is grounded in a deep understanding of birth, from my training as a physician and doula to my experience as a mother of three.
My path began in Nepal, where, as a 20-year-old medical student, I volunteered in a maternity hospital in Kathmandu. That experience revealed how essential compassionate support is during this transformative rite of passage. Since then, I’ve worked across the continuum of care—delivering babies, performing caesareans, and supporting prenatal and postnatal health—while also navigating three natural births of my own.
I help women learn to trust their bodies and prepare for birth with calm, clarity, and confidence. My goal is to ensure you feel informed, supported, and empowered to shape the birth you want. I’ll listen deeply, guide gently, and walk with you every step of the way—with empathy, respect, and kindness.
I am happy to work within a 20 mile radius of my home on the Westside of Los Angeles.
In my downtime, you’ll find me singing, reading, walking in nature, or spending time with family and friends—both here in California, and back home in my native England.
As Your Doula
My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where you feel grounded in your choices and fully seen in your experience. I’ll meet you where you are, adapt to your evolving needs, and hold space for whatever unfolds.
I offer:
Emotional support: Steady, compassionate presence for all the emotions that arise—joy, fear, overwhelm and everything in between.
Physical comfort: Massage, counter-pressure, movement, breathwork, and positioning for comfort and progress.
Informational support: Evidence-based tools and guidance for informed, confident decisions.
Partner support: Coaching your partner so they feel confident and connected in their role.
Post-birth care: Gentle, attentive support as you process your experience and ease into parenthood.
